What is a beach club yacht?
By Leon Bekkers, founder·5 min readWhat makes a yacht a beach club yacht?
Three things: a stern platform at or near water level, side sections that fold out to widen that platform, and an aft layout built around lounging rather than a cockpit. On the Bekkers Beachclub 40 the optional beach club wings unfold at anchor and turn the stern into a private terrace on the water.

| Focus | Living at anchor | Running between harbours |
| Aft layout | Lounge and sun beds open to the sea | Cockpit and seating |
