The yachts

Which models does Bekkers Yachts build?

The range consists of the AZUR 45HT (hardtop weekender), the Beachclub 40 (day yacht with optional beach club wings) and the Carib 64HT (flagship family weekender, in build). Compare them on the yachts page or in the comparison.

Why aluminium instead of fibreglass?

Aluminium allows a fully custom hull without moulds, which suits a yard that builds every yacht to order. It is also strong and stiff for its weight. Bekkers chose not to build in fibreglass at all. Our article on aluminium vs GRP covers the trade-offs in detail.

What are the main specifications of the AZUR 45HT?

The AZUR 45HT is 13.5 m (44.29 ft) long with a beam of 4.32 m and a draught of 0.79 m. Maximum displacement is 16,600 kg. Twin Volvo Penta IPS engines from IPS 600 (2x 440 hp) to IPS 800 (2x 600 hp) give 30+ knots depending on the engine choice. It has 2 cabins, 1 bathroom and 2 m standing headroom, and is CE category B.

What is the Carib 64HT?

The Carib 64HT is the flagship: 18.7 m (61.35 ft), beam 5.4 m, draught 1.0 m and 37 t maximum displacement. Volvo Penta D13 engines give 25 knots, and it carries 3,825 l of fuel. It has 3 large cabins, 3 bathrooms, a walk-around hardtop and a luxurious outdoor galley. Naval architecture is by Wijk Yacht Design.
