The Carib 64HT is the 18.7 m aluminium flagship of Bekkers Yachts, a family weekender with three large cabins, three bathrooms and a speed of 25 knots on Volvo Penta D13 engines. The price is on request, and the yacht is currently in build at the yard in Heusden. Build slots are allocated directly by the yard. Ask the yard for current build slots.
This article sets out what is known about the Carib 64HT today: the specifications, the thinking behind the layout, who it is designed for and how to secure a place in the build schedule.
Why a 64-footer from Bekkers
The AZUR 45 is a 13.5 m aluminium weekender built to superyacht standards. The Carib 64HT takes the same approach to a larger yacht: more cabins for family and friends, more space on deck and more fuel for longer stays aboard.
It keeps the core Bekkers philosophy: no mass production, no fibreglass hull, no restrictions. It is built by hand in aluminium in the Netherlands, with the same attention to stainless steel detail that founder Leon Bekkers brought from years as a supplier to leading superyacht builders in the Netherlands and Germany. The tagline applies here more than anywhere: built for the exceptional.

Design and layout
A walk-around hardtop
The Carib 64HT has a walk-around hardtop. On a walk-around yacht, side decks typically let guests and crew move from cockpit to bow without climbing over the superstructure. On a yacht of this size, that makes mooring, anchoring and simply moving about at sea easier and safer. The hardtop gives shade and shelter on long days, which extends the season in northern waters.
Three cabins, three bathrooms
Below deck there are three large cabins and three bathrooms. Standing headroom is 2 m. For a family weekender, that layout matters. Children, grandparents or guests each have their own space and privacy, and nobody queues for the shower in the morning. The yard will share the detailed cabin layout on request.
A luxurious outdoor galley
Life aboard a weekender often happens on deck. The Carib 64HT has a luxurious outdoor galley, so the person cooking stays with the guests rather than disappearing below. On the AZUR 45, the outdoor galley includes coolers, an icemaker, a BBQ grill and an induction cooker. The equipment for the Carib 64HT is confirmed in your specification.
Exterior design by René van der Velden
René van der Velden, an award-winning superyacht designer, drew the exterior of the Carib 64HT, as he did for the AZUR 45. The naval architecture is by Wijk Yacht Design.
Performance and range
With Volvo Penta D13 engines, the Carib 64HT has a speed of 25 knots. The fuel capacity of 3,825 l is more than three times that of the AZUR 45, which holds 1,240 l. A larger tank typically means longer passages between fuel stops and more flexibility when planning a cruise. Actual range depends on speed, load and sea state.
At 1.0 m, the draught is still modest for a yacht of 37 t. That keeps many shallow anchorages and inland waterways within reach. Ask the yard about air draught if you plan specific inland routes.
Finish and personalisation
Like every Bekkers yacht, the Carib 64HT can be painted to sample, in any colour combination. Examples from the range include Daytona Grey, Dark Green, Navy Blue and Ice Blue. Interiors combine wood and marine leather, and any material is available on request. Because each yacht is built by hand, there is room to shape the specification around the owner. The available options are set out in your quote.
Price
The Carib 64HT is priced on request. For reference, the AZUR 45HT starts at EUR 1,359,500 excl. VAT and engines in 2026, and the Beachclub 40 at EUR 998,000 excl. VAT and engines. The Carib 64HT is larger than both, and its price reflects the specification chosen.
All Bekkers prices are quoted excluding VAT. The VAT that applies depends on where the yacht is delivered and how it is used. Our prices page explains this in more detail.
Build slots: how to reserve
The Carib 64HT is currently in build. Bekkers Yachts does not mass produce, and every yacht is built by hand. In practice that means the number of build slots each year is limited, so ask the yard for current availability.
The usual route to a slot looks like this:
- 01Contact the yard. Call, send a WhatsApp, email welcome@bekkersyachts.com or use the contact form. The yard replies personally within one working day.
- 02Discuss your plans. Talk through how you will use the yacht, where you will keep it and what you want from the specification.
- 03See the work. Ask about a visit to the yard in Heusden, or arrange a sea trial of an AZUR 45 to experience the Bekkers finish on the water.
- 04Agree a specification and quote. The yard prepares a written quote and confirms the available build slot. Deposit, payment schedule and delivery date are set out in the build contract.
The yard will put you in touch with the right contact.
